Community

Frankston High School has a deep sense of community. A strong School Council provides the decision making structures and processes to ensure broad school community consultation. Parent involvement in all aspects of our school is strongly encouraged and parents are regarded as partners with the school in their child’s education.

Former Staff and Students

Former Staff and Students’ Association is actively involved in the school and has developed strong links with former staff and students. They have a significant responsibility in preserving the proud history of our great school.

Frankston Federation of Schools

The school is a partner in the Frankston Federation of Schools, with the main neighborhood primary schools; Derinya, Overport, Frankston and Frankston Heights. Through this federation, staff and resources are shared. The federation was established as a cluster in order to develop a seamless curriculum to improve student engagement and learning in the middle years.

Our community extends well beyond our local area. Strong international connections make our community truly global in scale. Our sister schools in Japan and France, ensure regular student exchanges and biennial visits between schools.  We have a third sister school, in Soweto, South Africa.   We sponsor a student from Letsibogo Girls’ High School each year to study at Frankston High School. Many of our students also access other Student Exchange Programs to undertake study abroad.
