Lachlan’s Year 12 Design Technology project ‘Bent Beddie’ was entered into the Top Designs exhibition at Melbourne Museum, won the People’s Choice Award for the 2009 exhibition and The Age Newspaper named Lachlan one of the ‘Top 100 Most Influential People in 2009’.

Following his design success, Lachlan started Burst Graphics in 2011, specialising in design, print, signage and websites which was named winner of the ‘Entrepreneur’ category in the Frankston Business Awards.  Lachlan now manages a team of seven at the factory in Carrum Downs. Alongside starting up his business, Lachlan was heavily involved in local charity for kids ‘By Kids’ which supported positive youth mental health and suicide prevention.

He loves going to work every day to pursue new and exciting creative projects which were all sparked from his design subjects at Frankston High School.
