Inducted into the Frankston High School “Back to School” Hall of Fame 2015

After graduating from Frankston High School in 1994, Luke began his career onstage, appearing as Schlomo Metzenbaum in Fame the Musical, both in Australia and overseas, and in the casts of the original Australian productions of Shout! and Oh! What a Night.

Since then Luke was the Musical Director for the Australian production of Jersey Boys, receiving both the Helpmann and Green Room Awards for Best Musical Direction.  He also co-arranged the Australian Anthem for the boys to perform at the AFL Grand Final.

Most recently, Luke was Musical Director for Dedications starring John O’Hara at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Musical Director for the Australian tour and Singapore seasons of Grease, for Musical Director of New Theatricals’ The Addams Family and Assistant Musical Director for TML Enterprises’ Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Other Musical Direction credits include The Rocky Horror Show, Shout!, Oh! What a Night, Leader of the Pack (Green Room Award for best musical direction), Falsettos, Eddie Perfect’s Up and Take Your Skin Off and Dance, Floorplay in Atlantic City and Burn the Floor in Las Vegas.

Luke is also a composer, arranger, and the co-creator of the iPhone App Warm Me Up! which provides vocal warm-ups to singers worldwide.
