Emily graduated from Frankston High School in 2009, where the Sport and Music program were profound for her, serving to keep her engaged in school until she found what she was passionate about. Emily was band leader during her final year at school and then went on to study a Bachelor of Audio Engineering.

Instead of working in this area however, Emily followed her heart and joined the police force, something she had wanted to do since childhood. After 12 years on the force, she achieved her Detectives Designation and is now continuing her successful career.

Emily came back in 2025 and 2026 to speak to a Year 10 Work Experience assembly about her study and career pathway to date.
