Jason graduated from Frankston High School in 2019 has recently been employed as a mechanical engineer intern at ANCA CNC Machines who design and manufacture high precision CNC grinding machines. He initially started a double degree in Engineering and Computer Science but wound up deciding to focus on engineering. Jason’s degree is Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering in Automation. As part of his final year, he worked with a team to design an autonomous delivery robot that is guided via infrastructure (pre-defined camera locations / nodes). This project will likely continue after graduation as it will be used to develop a system that can handle a “swarm” of robots and replace the need for in person food delivery in built up areas. His team is working on building the robot and completing one delivery while in autonomy mode.
Jason came back to school during Maths Week 2024 to share insights about his career with Year 9 Advanced Maths students.
