Shawn Price graduated Frankston High School in 1983 and went on to study maths teaching, an area he excelled in. Shawn didn’t wind up teaching however, instead taking on some work in an Apple Shop in Frankston which led him to recognise his strengths and capabilities. From there Shawn went into IT, which he did well in, but unfortunately it was not the kind of work he found to be fulfilling. Eventually, Shawn took steps to pursue his interest in psychology and over the course of an extended 12 years of study, managed to overcome his challenges and achieve registration as a psychologist. Shawn now runs a business called Positive Intelligence, running seminars, workshops, emotional intelligence training and career counselling as he supports others to achieve their dreams.

In 2025 Shaun came back to speak to Year 11 students who are interested in a career in psychology and to the Year 9 cohort for Upskill week.
