Adj Professor Karen Price, MBBS, PhD (Monash), FRACGP, GAICD, is a former President of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (2020–2022) and a GP with more than 30 years’ clinical, leadership and small‑business experience.

She joined the HCF Board and its Research Foundation Corporate Trustee in November 2023. During her RACGP presidency, she served on national committees across finance, risk, culture and advocacy, and contributed to major health policy work including the 10‑year Primary Health Care Plan and the Medicare Taskforce.

Previously Deputy Chair of the Victorian Council and Chair of Women in General Practice, she has longstanding experience in strategic leadership and media advocacy. Professor Price teaches and researches at Monash University, completing a PhD on GP collaboration, and serves on the University of Melbourne’s Innovation and Enterprise Advisory Board. She recently concluded a non‑executive director role with the World Organisation of Family Doctors (September 2025) and co‑founded a national online GP education forum with 12,000 members.

Her recognitions include the Australian Federation of Medical Women’s Leadership Award (2021), a Family Medicine Research Award (2016), and a Medical Student Teaching Award (2011). She currently chairs the Federal and State AMA Victorian GP Policy Advisory Committee, with a focus on collaborative care and values‑based leadership.
