Devan graduated from Frankston High School in 2017 and went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University with a double major in International Relations & Politics. From there he completed a Masters in International Relations and is now PhD Candidate at Monash University focussing on Counter-Terrorism & Political Violence through study of video games and protest movements. Devan is working towards defence consulting or employment in academic research.

Devan came back to school in 2024 to speak with Year 11 students about his career pathway to date.
