Formal Events

Year 10 Formal

The Year 10 Formal is one of the highlights of Year 12. It is a chance for students to dress up, relax and have fun after the GAT Exam.   The Formal is held at the Mornington Racecourse.  Staff and students enjoy a two-course dinner and dance the night away, celebrating the achievements of Semester One.

Year 11 Debutante Ball

The Debutante Ball provides the social highlight for Year 11 students.  The debutantes and their partners enjoy the opportunity to learn formal dancing and to then perform for their parents and friends in an elegant setting.

Year 12 Valedictory Dinner

The Valedictory Dinner is held in October and is a celebration of 13 years of education. Students, parents, teachers, and members of the school community are invited to attend this function. Each student receives a Year 12 certificate and a memento from the PFA to remember their time at Frankston High School.  Awards are also given for academic excellence, Optima Semper, sport, music and leadership.

Presentation Night

Presentation Night is held at the Frankston Arts Centre in the final week of Term 4. It is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions students have made to Frankston High School during the year. Awards of academic excellence and Optima Semper are presented to students in each year level from Year 7 to 11. The Dux of each year level is announced on the night. In addition, various scholarships are presented to students; we would like to thank the sponsors of these scholarships for the excellent opportunities they provide for the students at Frankston High School.

The evening culminates in a celebration of our excellent Year 12 results. This is when we announce the top student in each study, outstanding ATAR scores and the Dux of the school, based on state examination results.
